Climbed the Stars

Climbed the Stars ;                                                                                                "Carry me off the Earth into the Heavens above," he pleaded. He was a fallen star. Left here alone on Earth to fend for himself. Just a star, nothing else. His only drive was to join his brothers and sisters back in the sky. The thought haunted him each and every day. Wanting to return to the heavens, he one day devised a plan. The idea was to collect other stars that had been taken over by gravity and plummeted through the Blue planet's atmosphere to the ground. Even though these stars may no longer be alive, he found a use for them. "If you look hard enough, everything will still have a purpose," he mused. Once he had retrieved enough of the fallen stars, he schemed to assemble a ladder made of stars. Once constructed, he slowly, taking much care, started his journey ascending the star ladder. All adventures begin with the first step. So, one star at a time, he scaled them to the sky above. Even though it was much work, there became no quit in him; his thinking was that the heavens are my home; I must carry on. After a very long climb, when he had almost reached the sky, the stars he had been ascending stopped. He had run out of stars to climb. Swaying high in the sky on his star ladder, he became filled with despair. "After all the work I did to erect this ladder, I failed. What can I do?" He sadly thought to himself as he sat on the last star with his head in his hands and began to sob. Then suddenly, he heard a voice. '"What troubles you, my little star friend," said the voice. Looking up, he found that it was the Moon talking to him. "Oh, Moon, I am but a fallen star and wish to rejoin my brothers and sisters in the sky with you, but my collection of stars has all but run out. I am now stuck here at the top and can not reach my goal." he cried. With that, the Moon offered up some advice, " You need to have some faith in yourself that you CAN make it back to the sky." 'But how?" quizzed the Star. "By trusting yourself and the help of others." the Moon answered him. 'But how?" questioned the Moon once again. "If you can find the strength inside you and take a leap of faith into the sky, I will catch you before you fall and throw you back into the night," the Moon firmly said. "I am afraid." the Star said shamelessly. "To grow, my little friend, you must learn to sometimes step into the unknown, and if you believe in yourself enough, it can and will become fruitful." said the Moon. The Star pondered the advice that the Moon had just given him. Then stood back on the last star and exclaimed, "You are right. I have gotten this far, and it would be a shame to quit now. I must see the plan through to the end." Then, with all his might, the Star jumped into the night and reached for the Moon. The Moon extended his hand, grabbed the Star, and flung him into the heavens. And just like that, the Star had achieved his goal and hung forever more in the sky with all his brothers and sisters and, of course, his new friend, the Moon. As the Star shined high in the night sky, he thought, "Sometimes things in life can be difficult and may get you down. But if you devise a plan and believe in it and yourself, you can accomplish your dreams." www.angelwingartfarm.com
