Copper Horse enclosed in Glass

The following is a description of a handmade Copper Balabi (Horse) encased in glass. The horse is made of 24-gauge copper and hand-sawed with a jewelry saw that has a 4/0 blade. It is then placed between two pieces of fusible glass. Colored glass enamel is applied to the bottom layer, and the copper Horse is placed on top. The top glass is added, and everything is melted together in a 1500-degree kiln. The result is a fused glass copper necklace with a unique, hand-painted Horse pendant. The back of the pendant comprises two strips of copper joined by a copper rivet attached to a leather necklace. A great gift idea for anyone who loves Horses or unique jewelry. www.angelwingartfarm.com
