The Heavens Fall
The Heavens Fall" diorama. The word diorama literally means "through that which is seen," from the Greek di- "through" + orama "that which is seen, a sight." 7.5" x 4.8 "x 1.5 " My intention is to invite the viewers to feel like they're in a bit of story theater when they look at my art. Moon and Sun copper/fused glass pendant
The following is a description of a handmade Copper Moon/Sun encased in glass. The Moon/Sun is made of 24-gauge copper and hand-sawed with a jewelry saw that has a 4/0 blade. It is then placed between two pieces of fusible glass. Colored glass enamel is applied to the bottom layer, and the copper Moon/Sun is placed on top. The top glass is added, and everything is melted together in a 1500-degree kiln. The result is a fused glass copper necklace with a unique, hand-painted Moon/Sun pendant. The back of the pendant comprises two strips of copper joined by a copper rivet attached to a leather necklace. A great gift idea for anyone who loves the Moon/Sun or unique jewelry. www.angelwingartfarm.com
